"Terre di Gioia Pinot Grigio is from the Grave DOC of Sequals, located in the high country of Friuli. The unique soil there is loose and aerated, composed in large part of calcareous stone. The Armani family’s viticultural roots date back to the 17th century. The family’s first vineyard parcel was purchased 400 years ago, and is still in the family today. Terre di Gioia is the family’s newest initiative, sourcing grapes from specific vineyards in their holdings in Vallagarina, the area that connects Trentino, the Veneto, and South Tyrol. Hand-picked fruit undergoes a slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks, then ages on fine lees before bottling the following spring.
This is wine for the table. It is meant to be a pleasurable, affordable reflection of the places where the vines sink their roots. Crisp, aromatic, and refreshing, with clean layers of pineapple and melon and a lingering almond finish. Perfect as an aperitif, with light summer pastas, or with seafood dishes."
